He was only ten, but when I wanted a photo of some fierce looking tribesmen, he would drag them out of the crowd, put them up against a wall and allow me to shoot them! We returned to the cars after half an hour and had lunch in a café across the road. Then I went back to the market with Samuel for another hour. He gave me a brass bangle and I gave him a pen and 20 birr. Driving on towards Jinka we came upon a group of children in the road walking on stilts and with bizarre body paint. We stopped to take photos and gave them a few birr. Went on to Jinka and the Orit Hotel. Walked into the town but was hassled by two teenagers trying to extract money from me, so returned to the hotel without seeing much. Had a drink in the bar and a good dinner. At the end of dinner a huge birthday cake was produced, in my honour.
