Thu 2nd: Left the Millennium and went by minibus into the 'highlands' to see the crater lake. There was low cloud so it was very misty and we only got occasional glimpses of the lake itself. Went to the airport and got the flight to Guayaquil. Taken by minibus to the Grand Hotel. Had our free cocktails in the bar then walked through the town. Saw the cathedral and iguana park, then walked along the waterfront. Returned to the hotel for a shower. Walked around the town looking for a restaurant, but couldn't find any so returned to the hotel. Had an excellent meal with live music from a trio of 2 guitars and castanets. They were superb.
Fri 3rd: After breakfast said goodbye to Nick who is visiting a friend in the highlands.
