Sun 9th: Had a quick breakfast at 8:00 and the minibus collected me at 8:20 as arranged. Went to the port for the ferry to Sikinos. It arrived an hour late, which I was told was 'normal'. The crossing was smooth and I got to Sikinos at about 1:30 and checked in to the Porto Sikinos Hotel. In the afternoon I walked to Ayios Pandelimonas beach over a track which started off good and steadily deteriorated into a rough mule track that seemed to peter out completely in places. The beach was superb, with white pebbles and shingle and crystal clear water. There was nobody else there. Swam and sunbathed for an hour or so, then walked up to the church

and found a slightly better path back to Alopronia. Had dinner at the Meltemi taverna in the port, a very good chicken and chips.

Mon 10th: After breakfast in the hotel, I'd planned to take the bus to Kastro-Hora, but finding I'd have to wait for an hour, decided to walk. The town is very traditional in style, but clearly rebuilt recently, like the one on Anafi. Had a good wander around, then walked back down to Alopronia. Took the boat to St George beach where I swam and sunbathed for a couple of hours before the boat returned and took me to Malta beach.
