Set off back at 4pm. Passed a couple of lines of mules being taken to their winter grazing pastures. Got back to the hotel at about 6pm and had a swim in the pool. I've seen nobody else using it. Went to see the copies of the Akrotiri frescoes at the Nomikos Centre, then had dinner at the 'Greeks' restaurant near the museum. Afterwards I wandered round the expensive shops looking at paintings I couldn't possibly buy.
Thu 20th: Went to the Archaeological and Prehistorical Museums, both of which contain pottery, seals and other artefacts from Ancient Thira and Akrotiri. Returned to the hotel to check out before noon, then had lunch at the café up the road. The Nomikos minibus collected me from the hotel at 1:15 for the drive to the airport. Flew to Manchester.
