of Bordeaux and began to settle in. Walked into town and had a wander around. There was very little activity for a Saturday night. Returned to the apartment and had a good dinner of ham and cheese salad, followed by crème caramel, which Peter and Jane had kindly left.
Sun 20th: I figured out how to use the washing machine, then had a large and leisurely breakfast. Walked into town and found the supermarket. It was excellent and I bought more than I'd intended, but still spent only €25.
