Approaching Geneva Le Panoramic, Megève
Sat 19th May: Left East Midlands airport exactly on time. Had the usual amusing briefing from the easyJet cabin crew, "we will be cruising at 38000ft ... anyone found smoking will be asked to leave the aircraft immediately". Hoped to photograph the Alps as we approached Geneva, but the terrain seemed remarkably flat. Arrived ten minutes early and met Stéphane, the Megève taxi driver. From the motorway heading towards Megève, the views of Mont Blanc in the afternoon sunshine were stunning. Had some difficulty when I arrived, in getting the door open and finding light switches etc, but soon found the bottle

Getting started		 of Bordeaux and began to settle in. Walked into town and had a wander around. There was very little activity for a Saturday night. Returned to the apartment and had a good dinner of ham and cheese salad, followed by crème caramel, which Peter and Jane had kindly left.

Sun 20th: I figured out how to use the washing machine, then had a large and leisurely breakfast. Walked into town and found the supermarket. It was excellent and I bought more than I'd intended, but still spent only €25.
