Wed 23rd: Another leisurely start to the day. Walked up the road behind the apartment which leads to farm tracks, woodlands and Lake Javen. The lake is in a superb setting, surrounded by pine woods, meadows and mountains. The black 'scum' around the edge proved to be millions of tadpoles, which seemed to be thriving.
